IPSC has successful weekend at Carmel Showcase

The 94B Premier, 95B Premier and 96B Premier all were crowned champions of their respective flights at the Carmel Crossroads Showcase. The three teams combined for an overall group play record of 8-0 and outscored their opponents 31-8. Congratulations to the coaches and players for great results, and to the parents for braving the wild weather Saturday.

IPSC U14 Trapped/Captive Players and Non High School Players

What: IPSC Fall Training

Who: Any U14 Trapped/Captive Player who is not placed on a fall team and any high school player not playing for their school.

When: Two 1-hour sessions a week of training and 6 game dates throughout the season on Sunday evenings, beginning the week of August 22nd and ending the week of October 24th

Where: New Hope

Cost: $225 which includes IPSC training t-shirt

Game dates consist of: 11v11 format

Conducted by: Nick Swaim IPSC Director of Coaching and Player Development

Payment: Checks made payable to IPSC, due at first training

Tryouts will be held Tuesday June 14th with a supplemental tryout on Wednesday June 15th.

IPSC 94 Premier : VIPs of the VIT

IPSC 94 Premier, coached by Carlos Zavaleta won the U17 Championship bracket at the Veterans Invitational Tournament in Evansville, IN on November 13-14, 2010.

The team won their pool with wins over Columbus Express 93/94 Orange Crush (3-0) and Carmel United U17 Premier (3-2). They advanced to the final with a 6-0 win over SCSA Force (Center Grove). In a hard fought final against Cutters 94 Red, the teams battled to a 0-0 draw after full time and extra time. In the shootout, the boys were flawless in winning 4-1. After Steven Abbenhaus converted the first kick, Zach Norman saved the first kick from Cutters. Mickey Paunwar and Spencer Marker converted their kicks to make the score 3-1. After Cutters missed their third kick, John Fisher scored to seal the victory.

The tournament victory was a real team effort with 8 different players contributing to the 12 team goals while the defense only yielded 2 goals. Keeper Zach Norman posted 3 shutouts in four games and made a crucial save in the shootout.
